Late Assignments

All assignments are due at the meetings indicated in the assignment schedule although there will be no penalty for missing these deadlines.  Past experience has shown, however, that students not keeping up with the schedule and turning in several things (especially labs) together late typically get a much poorer grade in the course than those who keep up.  This is usually due to two things:  1. The same mistake is repeated (and credit deducted) multiple times due to the lack of instructor feedback the first time it occurs,  2. The student has to rush to complete an extraordinary amount of work at the last minute and as a result does a poor job on everything.  But the choice is yours!

If you know in advance that you cannot make it to class I recommend several options for getting an assignment to me, listed in order of my preference:

  1. Send the assignment with another student,

  2. Snail-mail it to me, postmarked prior to the due date, (get the address from me),

  3. Email it to me, not as an attachment but as imbedded text.

  4. Fax it to me, (get the number from me)
