Grading Policies and Regaining Points Lost on Assignments 2-4

Calculate your own grade!
The final course grade is based entirely upon assignments 1-8.  No score will be recorded for assignment 1 although it must be completed and submitted for full course credit.  Assignments 2-8 are worth 10 points each, where each exercise is worth the amount stated in the exercise requirement.  The following formula is used to compute course scores/grades, where Px represents the number of points obtained on programming assignment x:

If you do submit assignment 1:
     Course score = (P2+P3+P4+P5+P6+P7+P8) * 1.43

If you don't submit assignment 1:
     Subtract 10 from the score computed above for each missing assignment.

Course grade =
     A   if course score >= 85
     B   if course score >= 65
     C   if course score >= 50
     F   if course score < 50

Loss & refund of points:
Credit may be deducted for the following, as applicable:

1.  Missing/Incorrect exercises,
2.  Erroneous program operation,
3.  Non-portability,
4.  Omission of required test cases,
5.  Failure to submit screen dumps,

6.  Poor coding style,
7.  Failure to submit "Automated Assignment Checker" reports,
8.  Failure to correct "Automated Assignment Checker" errors/warnings

For assignments 2-4 only, credit deducted for items 6, 7, and 8 will be refunded to you if you correct all issues and submit the revised assignment along with the original assignment by when the next assignment is due.  Include a note reminding me why you are submitting them.  No credit can be refunded for items 1-5 or for assignments 5-8.
